Olympic cards
May. 5th, 2012 10:47 amMy local dry cleaner's is selling a range of Olympic greetings cards, based on previous games. There's one for the Montreal games in 1976, and a very stylish one for the Dutch 1928 games. I glanced at it and initally assumed that it was German because of the language. And then thought ah, no, they wouldn't do one for the 1936 games, would they? There wasn't one in the dry cleaner's but I looked on-line and found the attached: http://fineartamerica.com/products/olympic-games-reproduction-greeting-card.html
Is this massively tasteless? Who is going to buy it apart from persons with dubious political sympathies?
And who is going to be sending Olympic themed cards anyway? Happy 2012 Olympics? It just seems such a weird idea.
