Michael has asked me to mention that we have two memberships for Newcon 4, the weekend of 11-12th October, that we now can't use.  Is anybody interested?  Here is the website:

Ah - quite right. I was getting, not confused exactly but overshadowed by FantasyCon, which is in Nottingham and begins tomorrow.

And also begins with the letter N.

Come to think of it, so does Newcastle. Why do I have to go anywhere? Why can't the cons just come to me?

As for your other comparisons - well, damn, they're all redundant now. And I know nothing about Northampton, never been there. But I shall have Iain Banks to substitute for the missing Ramsey Cambbell, and where Iain goes can curry be far behind? And I'd back Northampton curry, sight unseen, against Pompeiian curry. Need I say more?
